Bab Mansour

Authentic Moroccan cuisine, family recipes

About Bab Mansour

Bab Mansour is a Moroccan restaurant on Endell Street, opposite Covent Garden station and moments from the West End theatres and shops. The chefs cook classic Moroccan dishes to the family's original recipes, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from sustainable suppliers, and the whole menu is halal.

The kitchen is known for lunches, afternoon tea, a set pre-theatre menu and slow evening dining, so the restaurant is open all day and every day. The menu moves from hot and cold mezze through tagines to dishes from the charcoal grill, with the fattoush salad, grilled halloumi and baklawa among the regular favourites, and local drinks and wines alongside. Everything is available to take away, with online pre-ordering for collection and delivery through Just Eat.

Moroccan restaurant in Covent Garden for pre-theatre and afternoon tea

The pre-theatre set menu is the busiest part of the day, and the restaurant is often at capacity before curtain up, so it strongly recommends booking ahead through its online reservation link. Afternoon tea gives the place a second life in the quieter hours, and a downstairs room can be hired for private functions, celebrations or large group dining in comfort.

What to expect on a visit

Expect tagines and mezze served in a traditional Moroccan room a few steps from the Tube, with service geared to getting theatre-goers out in time. Doors open at 11am Monday to Saturday and 10am on Sunday, closing at 11pm in the week and 10pm on Sunday. The restaurant asks guests to book in advance and to cancel if plans change, which helps it keep the room full and its staff and suppliers paid.
