Bat & Ball

Covent Garden's home of games, live sport and parties.

About Bat & Ball

Bat & Ball is a games and sports bar on Earlham Street at Seven Dials, describing itself as Covent Garden's home of games, live sport and parties. It brings the group's mix of entertainment and energy to this corner of the West End, with a floor of things to play, HD screens for the big fixtures and DJs every weekend.

The venue is part of the Urban Pubs & Bars group and follows the same formula as its other London sites. Games include ping pong, shuffleboard, pool, beer pong and a high-tech interactive darts set-up that goes well beyond standard pub darts, plus private karaoke rooms for anyone who wants to own the stage. Live sport covers Premier League football, rugby, the NFL and major tournaments, and the bar has staged themed weekends bringing together the Six Nations, the Super Bowl and a full football schedule across its big screens.

Food and drink keep pace with the activity, with pizza, burgers and cocktails served through the day, and the kitchen runs from 11am daily, later than the bar on weekend nights. The space is built for groups and social occasions rather than a quiet pint, with room to move between screens, tables and games, and it pitches itself as a stop for a pre-theatre drink, an after-work session or a weekend celebration.

What to expect on a visit

Bat & Ball opens from midday Monday to Friday and from 11am at weekends, closing at 11pm early in the week, midnight on Friday and Saturday and 10.30pm on Sunday. Private parties are a speciality, covering hen dos, birthdays and team-building sessions. Bat & Ball in Covent Garden is a trendy, lively spot with a great atmosphere, perfect for a fun night out. It offers darts and pool, live sports on screens, good food, and two large bars with great music setting the vibe. The darts are reasonably priced at £13 per person for an hour, which feels fair for the location, while drinks are on the pricey side but standard for London. The venue is clean, well-run, and has massive toilets (always a win), making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy the night.

This place is amazing. Shakira and William are the dream team of service and they made us feel so so welcome. This bar is lively and cool and we had an absolute blast. I cannot wait to return. They have pool, darts and shuffle board. They have sport and so much on the screens. It is paradise. 5 star service and I will RETURN. We were celebrating my Uncle's 60th birthday and had a Karaoke room booked for 11pm. Unfortunately our meal beforehand ran over but one of our party went ahead to get there for 11 and to explain that we were running late and would be there shortly. We arrived at 11.15. A young lady upstairs showed us to our Karaoke room and a few of us went in there while the rest were buying drinks at the bar. Then another young lady came into the room and told us rudely and aggressively to leave because we hadn't booked it or checked in. I explained to her that we were escorted there by a lady from upstairs but she continued to be rude and made us leave the room. Shortly afterwards the same young lady came back and took us into the exact same room we were in before. We hadn't realised that the bar shut at 12 but she told us we only had 45 minutes of karaoke time which was ok with us. So, minutes before 12, the same young lady came in as I was 30 seconds away from finishing the end of a song (Celine Dion, Think Twice, the BIG ending) and pulled the plug on the whole system. Absolutely unnecessary. Yet again, aggressive and rude. We were literally dumbfounded. She ruined the whole night. And to top things off, when we left the karaoke room there were still other people drinking in the main bar as we were leaving. All of the other staff we encountered were lovely but it only takes one bad egg to ruin everything. I love the Bat & Ball in Westfield and go there frequently. I've have ne
