Bloom Perfumery
Niche fragrance and a bespoke perfume lab off Long Acre
About Bloom Perfumery
Bloom Perfumery is an independent niche fragrance shop on Slingsby Place in St Martin's Courtyard, the pedestrian enclave between Long Acre and Upper St Martin's Lane. It focuses on niche perfumes and home fragrance, curating scents from a range of houses rather than stocking mainstream designer lines, and it moved to this larger courtyard space in early 2025, tripling the size of its previous Covent Garden shop.
The shop arranges its selection by scent character so you can explore by mood, from warm and cosy to fresh and light, and staff are used to guiding visitors through houses they have never heard of. A bespoke perfume lab lets customers compose their own formula from a range of industry-grade perfume bases, and the shop runs a sample subscription covering 72 perfumes over a year plus a club for fragrance lovers built around decants.
A niche perfume shop in Covent Garden
Bloom stands apart from the brand boutiques in the Market Building because no single house sets the agenda. The St Martin's Courtyard shop is set up for slow sampling, with testers across the range and the lab for anyone who wants to go further than buying a bottle, and it suits both newcomers to niche fragrance and collectors hunting for a specific house.
What to expect on a visit
The shop opens from midday until 6pm Monday to Friday and from 1pm until 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, later than most of its neighbours, so check before an early visit. The courtyard is a short walk from Covent Garden and Leicester Square Underground stations, and Creed on King Street is nearby for a single-house contrast.
