About The Ivy Market Grill
The Ivy Market Grill is the Ivy Collection's all-day brasserie on Henrietta Street, overlooking the historic Covent Garden Piazza in the heart of London's theatreland. It is set up for pre-show dining, after-theatre drinks and relaxed weekend brunches, with seasonal dishes, hand-crafted cocktails and the signature Ivy style of interiors and attentive service that the group is known for.
The Ivy name traces back to 1917 and the original restaurant in West Street, and the Market Grill brings that heritage to the market side of Covent Garden. The kitchen follows the collection's format of British and European brasserie dishes served from breakfast through to late, with an a la carte menu, set lunch offers and seasonal celebration menus through the year. Private dining rooms are available for bespoke occasions, and the group's Italian sister restaurant, Harry's, is just around the corner.
All-day brasserie in Covent Garden from breakfast to late
Doors open at 8am on weekdays and 9am at weekends, and the restaurant stays open until midnight most nights, which makes it one of the longest serving days in the district. A set lunch menu of two courses runs Sunday to Friday until 4.30pm, and the cocktail list carries the room through to the post-theatre hour. Bookings for up to fourteen guests can be made online; larger parties are handled by email.
What to expect on a visit
Expect a polished, busy room that suits a business breakfast, a celebratory brunch or a pre-theatre dinner equally well. The main restaurant and bathrooms are fully accessible, though the private dining room is not; there is free wifi and baby changing, and Covent Garden station is a three-minute walk. Q Park on Bedfordbury is the nearest car park. See our list of restaurants in Covent Garden for more options, or for a grand French brasserie a minute away on Russell Street try Balthazar.

Reviews
We had a wonderful time at the Ivy Grill seated on the outside terrace. Kartik our waiter was excellent and made it the perfect relaxing evening with his superb service and friendly smile. It was a busy Thursday night but he was highly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was brought out timely despite it being busy and was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful food and ambiance. My husband and three kids ages 6-14 ate their plates clean. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Martin our waiter was fantastic. The attention to detail shows in everything with the food, drinks, and even restrooms!
Had a budget meal, 2 course for £22.95. Good choices and enjoyable food, well presented. Dessert option could be better, profiteroles looked lovely but quite tart taste and a little hard. Atmosphere good, staff member generally good though forgot a couple of things we asked for.
