Metal Morphosis

Metal Morphosis is a body piercing studio and jewellery shop on Earlham Street in Seven Dials, and the company's flagship. Established in 1991, it is one of central London's longer-running piercing specialists, with a second studio on Newburgh Street off Carnaby Street, and more than thirty years in the trade give it a settled, experienced reputation in a field where trust matters.

The business started in the early 1990s, expanded into mobile piercing facilities and into Europe, and now concentrates on its two central London studios. It describes its stance as standing for unafraid self-identity, expression and exploration, and its piercers work to a personalised, appointment-led model rather than a quick-turnover one.

Metal Morphosis specialises in ear and body piercing, covering lobe, helix, tragus, conch, daith, rook, septum and forward helix, along with eyebrow, navel and microdermal work, plus junior piercings with age restrictions. Ear curation and ear styling, problem solving for existing piercings, permanent jewellery, tooth gems and tattoos are also offered. The shop stocks piercing jewellery from brands such as Neometal, Anatometal and Junipurr, including threadless designs, hoops, studs and statement pieces, with a particular focus on solid gold.

What to expect on a visit

The studio opens from midday to 8pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 8pm on Saturdays and 11am to 6pm on Sundays, and piercings can be booked online. Earlham Street runs through Seven Dials towards the Piazza, a short walk from Covent Garden and Leicester Square stations.
