Lazenby Court is a narrow passage running between Floral Street and Rose Street on the western side of Covent Garden. Its chief distinction is the route it offers to the Lamb and Flag, one of the district's oldest and best-known public houses, which is reached along this tight lane. The passage is little more than shoulder-width in places, a genuine survival of the cramped alleys that once ran through the area behind the main streets. Walking it gives a strong sense of the old grain of Covent Garden, with high walls close on either side and the noise of the surrounding streets falling away. There is little in the court itself beyond the passage and the pub it serves, and it carries only foot traffic. Its position between Floral Street and Rose Street ties it to the quieter western edge of the district, away from the market crowds. Lazenby Court is valued precisely for its narrowness and its link to a historic pub, a small piece of old London preserved among the busier streets.
