Busy neighborhood but many cool shops. Lola’s is small and the service is curt but the cupcakes are all delicious!
I decided to try this cupcake after walking past the shop in Covent Garden a while ago. Honestly, I almost missed it, despite its colourful appearance, it’s quite small compared to everything else around. The service was average, but the staff were polite and kind. I took my time choosing which cake to try, and they were patient throughout. The cake itself was nice, though it didn’t exactly blow me away. For me, it was the aesthetic of both the place and the cake that really stood out, and that’s what I enjoyed the most. The flavour, while good, was fairly average in my opinion. That said, it was still tasty! I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re passing by as it was cheap for the area, especially being in Covent Garden! Just a tip: if you prefer something sweeter, maybe go for a different cheesecake than the one I chose 😂
There are so many flavors of cupcakes and they all look so pretty, so we had to try. We ordered the Mini Banoffee Cupcake and were quite disappointed. Both the cake itself and the frosting were lacking flavor. Overall, would not recommend, as the quality is much lower than the price.
